Volunteer
We at the L.I.F.T. Women’s Resource Center have numerous opportunities for willing persons to volunteer, including:
Support Group Facilitator: Co-facilitate monthly groups for women in recovering from domestic violence, substance abuse, or homelessness.
Administrative Aide: Answer phones; provide information and referrals for walk, drop-in, and telephone clientele; staff relief; filing, coping, computer skills.
Mailing Assistant: Assist staff with special mailing projects by addressing and labeling mailings. Create and update mailing lists. Crucial in all areas.
Fundraising: Help coordinate and set up special events. Participate in planning committees. Call potential partners and donors. Assemble and distribute mailings and information.
Mentoring: Offer support and role modeling for the women in our program who are re-entering the workforce and working toward self-sufficiency.
Educational Speakers: Present educational information to women attending workshops and support group meetings.
